Al-Qaida remains resilient, continues to cooperate closely with LeT: UN report

According to a UN report, Al-Qaida "remains resilient" and continues to cooperate closely with Pakistan-based terror outfits like Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and the Haqqani Network. The report notes the doubtful status of the health of Al-Qaida's leader Aiman Muhammed al-Zawahiri and his succession. It said that Al-Qaida considers Afghanistan a continuing safe haven.
